Welcome
Kara writes children's books that celebrate the joys of childhood. Her first book, Everybody Can Dance!, was released May 28, 2019 and made Amazon's #1 New Release in Children's Dance Books that first week. It has also been featured on BBC's Bedtime Stories show, CBeebies. It celebrates diversity. showing children of all cultures and abilities experiencing the joy of dance together. The book was translated into Spanish as "Todos a bailar!" in 2025.
Her second book "Maggie Discovers the Rainbow" launched on March 21, 2023. In this magical adventure a cautious girl learns the rewards of stepping out of your comfort zone as she flies through all the colors of the rainbow and experiences what all the colors feel like.

Classroom Visits
Now booking classroom visits (virtual or in person in the San Francisco Bay Area) - Kara will read Everybody Can Dance! and lead a dance party, discuss the writing/publishing process in kid-friendly language, or share Maggie Discovers the Rainbow and lead an art project and discussion of emotions and using color to express ourselves. Everybody Can Dance was featured on BBC's CBeeBies Bedtime Stories. Read by Rose Ayling-Ellis, a deaf actress who won Britain's version of "Dancing with the Stars" (called "Strictly Come Dancing" in the UK).
